Poll Shows Majority of State Voters Don't Like Palin
A new Field Poll shows that 58% of California voters have an unfavorable view of Sarah Palin, and 33% have a positive view. Even in districts with Republican incumbents, about half of voters said they'd avoid a candidate Palin endorsed. Palin has endorsed Republican Senate candidate Carly Fiorina and is speaking at two events in California next week.

It's Walk or Bike to School Day
Today is the kickoff of a national effort to get children to walk or bike to school to promote health living. Parents and schools are finding ways to make sure they do that safely.

Suspect in Fremont Police Assault Arrested
A man accused of stealing a van and ramming and dragging a Fremont police officer with it on Monday was arrested in Los Angeles this morning. He'll be returned to the Bay Area. The officer has been undergoing surgery on his leg and foot, but may leave the hospital this week.
