UC Regents Approve Tuition Increase Despite Protests
University of California students will get a
much larger tuition bill next year. The UC Board of
Regents met today at UCLA and approved a $2,500 increase
in undergraduate fees, bumping the annual cost of
tuition to more than $10,000. The regents' vote came
despite protests by hundreds of students and the
takeover of a building on UCLA's campus. Rob Schmitz
reports on the protests and the regents' vote.
