Crime Rate Drop
The crime rate is down 20 percent in San Francisco over the first three months of this year. That matches a similar drop in crime in Los Angeles for the same period, and in some other big cities. Such numbers defy predictions from police departments and sociologists that the recession would spur an increase in crime. What does the trend mean?
