Legislators Ask For Automatic Pipeline Shutoff

Many homeowners have installed valves to automatically cut off their gas service after an earthquake. Some lawmakers are calling for PG&E and other utilities to do the same on a larger scale for major gas pipelines, like the one that blew up last week in San Bruno.
