Surprise Support for Legal Pot ... Crime Continues to Fall in California

Support for Legal Pot from Law Enforcement Professionals
A group of judges, prosecutors, and police officers today came out in support of Proposition 19, the November ballot initiative that would legalize marijuana in California. They say that prohibition of pot has proven costly and is diverting resources from fighting violent crime.

Crime Continues to Fall in California
The FBI's latest analysis of statistics for 2009 shows crime declining in all categories in California. The state's murder rate fell by 8 percent for the year.
