Boxer and Fiorina Debate Jobs
The economy was a hot topic during last night's debate between Democratic Senator Barbara Boxer and Republican challenger Carly Fiorina. Boxer criticized Fiorina for eliminating thousands of jobs and sending many overseas as the CEO of Hewlett-Packard. Fiorina called for business tax cuts and streamlining regulations to save jobs.
HP Wins 3Par Bidding War
Hewlett-Packard won a bidding war this morning and will buy Fremont-based tech company 3Par. Their rival Dell has given up and won't try to match HP's offer of more than $2 billion.
