New Treatment Guidelines for HIV and AIDS Patients
Health officials in San Francisco are unveiling new treatment guidelines for HIV and AIDS patients -- and there is some controversy surrounding the new policy. The city's Public Health Department will soon start telling patients to start taking antiviral drugs as soon as they are diagnosed with HIV, instead of waiting until their immune systems start to fail.
