The San Francisco-based journal McSweeney's is billing its latest issue as a 21st century newspaper prototype, complete with investigative reporting, comics and sports coverage. We talk to editors Dave Eggers and Oscar Villalon about the new edition, which they are selling on street corners in addition to book stores.

Host: Michael Krasny

Guests:

  • Dave Eggers, author, founder and editor of McSweeney's, co-editor of the Voice of Witness series and co-founder of 826 Valencia, a network of nonprofit writing and tutoring centers for young people
  • Oscar Villalon, publisher of McSweeney's and former book editor for the San Francisco Chronicle
