Download audio (MP3)

Oakland-based psychologist Paul Ekman may be best known for his groundbreaking work on lying and facial expressions, but he's also a leading expert on the science of human emotion. He joins us to talk about "Emotional Awareness," a new book documenting his conversations with the Dalai Lama on how to achieve emotional balance. Ekman is professor emeritus of psychology at the University of California Medical School in San Francisco and the author of 14 books.

Host: Michael Krasny
