Propositions 74 and 76

Forum continues its coverage of California propositions. Proposition 74 would increase the probationary period for public school teachers and modify the process by which a school board can dismiss a permanent certificated employee. Proposition 76 would create an additional state spending limit and grant the governor new power to reduce state spending and revise school and college funding limits.
