U.S. Prepares for Total Troop Withdrawal From Afghanistan

President Obama has formally ordered the Pentagon to prepare for a full withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan by the end of the year, if Afghan President Hamid Karzai or his successor do not sign America's proposed security pact. Many experts are concerned that a full withdrawal will push Afghanistan into civil war and further destabilize the region. We discuss the possibilities for diplomacy and the repercussions of a total troop withdrawal.
