Inventor Dean Kamen Wins Global Humanitarian Award

Entrepreneur Dean Kamen may be best known for inventing the Segway Personal Transporter. But the visionary scientist holds more than 500 U.S. and foreign patents, mostly for devices and inventions aimed at improving healthcare. He is also on a mission to increase access to clean water in developing countries and to inspire youth to get involved with science and technology. Kamen was recently named recipient of the 2013 Global Humanitarian Award by San Jose's Tech Museum of Innovation. He joins us in the studio to discuss his latest inventions.
